How To Disable Automatic Download Blocking in IE7/Vista
Issue: Since moving to IE7 on Vista, I cannot download some attachments from some websites or web applications. I click the link on the website, it pops up a new window, and in the new window the File/Save dialog box does not appear. Instead, the new window just disappears. This particularly affects PeopleSoft HelpDesk version 8.
Resolution:
1. From Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
The Internet Options dialog box appears.
2. Click the Security tab.
The Internet Options dialog box shows your security levels and zones.
3. Select the relevant zone, and then click Custom Level.
The Security Settings dialog box appears.
4. Scroll down to Downloads, and then select the Enable option for Automatic prompting for file downloads.
5. Click OK
6. Click OK
