Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin' Down - Lyrics

Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin' Down - Lyrics
From LyricWiki

Am I more than you bargained for yet
I've been dying to tell you anything you want to hear
Cause that's just who I am this week
Lie in the grass, next to the mausoleum
I'm just a notch in your bedpost
But you're just a line in a song
(A notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song)

Drop a heart, break a name
We're always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it
We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Is this more than you bargained for yet
Oh don't mind me I'm watching you two from the closet
Wishing to be the friction in your jeans
Isn't it messed up how I'm just dying to be him
I'm just a notch in your bedpost
But you're just a line in a song
(Notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song)

Drop a heart, break a name
We're always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it
We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We're going down, down in an earlier round (Take aim at myself)
And Sugar, we're going down swinging (Take back what you said)
I'll be your number one with a bullet (Take aim at myself)
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We're going down, down (down, down)
Down, down (down, down)
We're going down, down (down, down)
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

We're going down, down in an earlier round (Take aim at myself)
And Sugar, we're going down swinging (Take back what you said)
I'll be your number one with a bullet (Take aim at myself)
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Want a beer? Give your fingerprints

The Register reports: "The government is funding the roll out of fingerprint security at the doors of pubs and clubs in major English cities" to kerb drink-related violence.

I agree that drink related violence is out of hand in the UK but fingerprinting patrons does not solve the problem. I also disagree with being fingerprinted in general, as your fingerprint is becoming more widely used as an authentication mechanism (in your PDA or laptop, for example). The more places my biometric data is stored, the more risk there is of it being compromised, and once it's compromised I can't change it like I can a password, pass phrase or hardware security token.

Maybe I'm really more concerned with using biometric data as an authentication mechanism than I am against the principle of being fingerprinted when I go to the pub. Either way, bad idea that doesn't solve the problem.

Blog aims to record everyday life

Most blogs record just one person's day-to-day life, but on October 17th 2006 the National Trust wants you to blog your life on their shared History Matters blog, according to the BBC.

From the site:
"'One Day in History' is a one off opportunity for you to join in a mass blog for the national record. We want as many people as possible to record a 'blog' diary which will be stored by the British Library as a historical record of our national life."

Sounds interesting and could give great insight to future generations on how we live today.

Autumn Leaf

I was walking back from the train station and found saw this leaf on the floor. The colour struck me as it sat on the dark, wet pavement so I decided to take a photo.

How to survive a plane crash

The BBC has an interesting article on how to survive a plane crash. The odds are surprisingly high: "In the US alone between 1983 and 2000 there were 568 plane crashes. Out of the collective 53,487 people onboard, 51,207 survived."

Tips include:
  • Make an escape plan.
  • Know where the nearest cabin crew are seated.
  • Know how to undo your seatbelt.
  • Count the seat rows from your seat to the nearest exit.
  • In case of crash, adopt the correct brace position.

In the audio article Professor Ed Galea also suggests sitting as close to the exit as possible, with most survivors sitting within 7 seat rows of an exit. He also says you should take an aisle seat and sit together with your family or friends if you are travelling in a group.
