Why Do You Call Me?

I found it first! :)
Horny United Meets Irvine Doomes - Why Do You Call Me?

For the uninitiated, the video for this song was being filmed at Rider's Palace when I went in November. I haven't seen the video on TV yet, but it's on the Viva Plus N-3 Playlist for this week.

I Have The Password To Your Shell Account

While doing a Google search for info and opinions about BitTorrent, I happened across a page on Danny O'Brien's Oblomovka site. Down at the bottom I noticed a link to a song called I Have The Password To Your Shell Account. OK, so it's not zero-day info, but it's funny... :). So funny in fact, that I immediately went over to the Barcelona site and listened to a couple more of their songs. Have a listen to Why Do You Have So Much Fun Without Me? and the hacker-friendly Social Engineering.

My Broken Ankle

WARNING: This post contains photographs that could be of a disturbing nature. Do not scroll down if you don't want to see post-operation pictures.

In March 2000, I went on a snowboarding vacation to St. Anton, Austria, with some friends. I fell over while snowboarding down a mountain, and broke my left ankle. The doctor recommended that I have it operated on, so when I returned to Germany (where I live), I had these pins put in.

Here are the x-rays from the operation. The first picture shows my foot sticking up towards the camera. The second is a profile shot from the side.

In May 2001 it was time to have the pins taken out. This picture is from before the second operation. The scar you can (just) see is from the original operation when the pins went in.

These are from the day after the second operation. The tube coming out of my leg
is to drain away excess blood. It had to stay in my leg for two days. Having the tube removed was the most painful part of the whole experience. It was more painful than the operation itself (which was done under general anesthetic).

Second on the pain list was having the stitches taken out. There were eight stitches holding my ankle together. This one is what it looked like once the stitches came out on June 1st 2001...

So that's it really, all the pictures, and all the gore there is. Not very impressive after all, was it? :-)
