Adobe PDF Vulnerability
Don't open untrusted PDF files until you've upgraded Adobe Reader to a newer version than 8.1. Oh wait, you can't, 8.1 is the latest version.

Perhaps uninstall bloaty Acrobat and install FoxIt Reader http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php - may not be subject to the vulnerability.
